Reddit app
Create a Reddit "web app" so Bulkit can post to subreddits.
Create the app
Go to reddit.com/prefs/apps and click create another app… at the bottom. Fill in:
- name: anything, like your company's name.
- Type: web app.
- redirect uri: the redirect URI from Bulkit (like
https://api.bulkit.io/integrations/REDDIT/callback).
Click create app.
Pick web app
A script app can't complete the connect flow. If you made one, create a new app as web app.
Copy the keys into Bulkit
The client ID is the short code right under the app's name. The secret is labeled. Paste both into Channels → Platform apps → Reddit in Bulkit.
Connect an account
In Bulkit, open Channels → Accounts → Connect account → Reddit and click Allow.
Good to know
- Reddit limits how often new or low-karma accounts can post.
- Each subreddit has its own rules (account age, karma, flair). Reddit checks them when the post goes out, not when you connect.
