Twitter / X

It's X now. Tier-dependent limits, and analytics are... complicated.

X (formerly Twitter) has an API with "eventful" changes. Publishing works well; analytics, less so.

Supported Content

Posts support text with optional media — 0–4 files — and you can mix images and videos within the same tweet.

Quirks & Gotchas

Reply Settings

Reply settings depend on your Twitter/X account tier — some options require specific account features. Five settings control who can respond:

  • EVERYONE (default)
  • FOLLOWING
  • MENTIONED_USERS
  • SUBSCRIBERS
  • VERIFIED

Post Options

Posts use the data.TWITTER object:

uploadIdsUp to 4 media files.
replySettingsControls reply permissions.

Analytics

Both profile and post analytics are not available. Won't be. X API changes have made analytics access extremely expensive and restrictive.
